PT Dahana recently hosted a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) called Risk Management Week. The event, themed “Risk Management as an Enabler of Strategy, Integrity & Sustainability,” took place at Laska Ciater Hotel in Subang on Monday, November 24, 2025. Charles R. Vorst from the Center for Risk Management & Sustainability (CRMS) served as the keynote speaker, enhancing participants’ understanding of corporate risk management.

Fahni Irfansyah, General Manager of Risk Management and Corporate Governance at PT Dahana, emphasized the significance of this event as a strategic step for the company in addressing increasingly complex global business dynamics. He noted that a deep understanding of risk management has become essential for maintaining company stability, rather than just a supplementary aspect.

“I sincerely hope that all participants can focus and engage fully in this series of events. Your active participation is crucial for strengthening our risk management, which will ultimately support the company’s sustainability in the future,” Mr Irfansyah stated.

The Risk Management Focus Group Discussion (FGD) provided a platform for Dahana’s management to align perceptions on how risk management is fundamental to corporate sustainability. In the explosives industry, in which Dahana operates, effective risk management is vital and requires systematic oversight.

In Session I, participants listened attentively to Charles R. Vorst’s presentation, which covered essential points of risk management, discussing both its theoretical aspects and examples of best practices adopted by various institutions to achieve sustainability in complex situations.

During an interactive segment of the FGD, participants were invited to analyze potential risks and develop appropriate responses. This aligns with Dahana’s commitment to continuous innovation while adhering to strict security and compliance standards.

Tantan Sutarman, SM Risk Management at Dahana and the event’s person in charge, stressed that the implementation of risk management within Dahana should not be confined to theory or documentation. He highlighted the importance of internalizing risk awareness in everyday work activities.

“After participating in this event, I hope all attendees will be able to effectively apply risk management strategies in their respective work units. With each employee’s reliable risk mitigation skills, we are optimistic that Dahana can maintain business sustainability and continue to grow positively in the face of challenges in a dynamic industry,” Mr Sutarman concluded.
